Denver folk trio, Edison, has smashed in quite a career in two years.
The band played South by Southwest, is touring nationally ahead of the new album "Familiar Spirit," out Sept. 16 (pre-order here), and have signed to Rhyme and Reason Records.
Edison has opened for Iron & Wine and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Nightsweats, among others. On Friday night, the trio will be supporting Brooklyn's seven-piece soul-rock group Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds at the Fox Theatre at 9 p.m. (Here's a future album name suggestion: "Touring with Ampersand Bands.")
Edison is comprised of Sarah Slaton (vocals, guitar), Dustin Morris (drums, trumpet, mandolin) and Maxwell Hughes (guitar), formerly of The Lumineers.
Here's "Ghosts" from the band's EP of the same name, released in 2015.
