Colorado indie rock trio Edison recently finished a residency in New York City, and they're ready to hit the road this fall in support of their upcoming debut album Familiar Spirit, which is set to be released on September 16 via Rhyme & Reason Records. Today, the outfit released their new song "Open Road" over on PopMatters.
Familiar Spirit is available for pre-order right now. All pre-orders come with instant downloads for "The Good Fight" and "Civil War."
Starting on August 16, Edison will be touring with Arizona indie rock band Jared & The Mill, who will be releasing their new Orme Dugas EP on September 6. The trek will feature several stops in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Arizona, Washington, and California.
Before the tour starts, Edison will have a handful of shows in their home state. This Friday, they will perform at the Divide Music Festival, which will also feature performances from Cake, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Passion Pit, and Cold War Kids. After headlining gigs in Fort Collins and Denver, the band will head back to Fort Collins for the Bohemian Nights New West Fest, which will also have performances from Let Them Roar, Head For The Hills, and Justin Roth.
